Table A 3 our zymotic death rate (0.83 per 1,000 per annum), and
the rate for each of the diseases comprising it are given, and
comparisons are instituted between these and the corresponding
rates for England and Wales, the 33 Great Towns, and London
generally. These comparisons are uniformly favourable to Stoke
Newington—the least favourable being those of scarlet fever and
typhoid fever.
