meat. The light has been greatly augmented by the adoption of
prismatic lights, and the use of white glazed tiles. The room where
the post mortem examinations are conducted is supplied with two
revolving slate tables, a desk and table for writing, &c., hand basins
with a supply of hot and cold water. The electric light is laid on
for use on dark days and in the evening. Your Surveyor informs
me that the cost has been about £730.
Sanitary Notices.
Sanitary Notices, to the number of 212, were served upon the
owners or occupiers of property; and, in addition, ordinary or
friendly notices were served upon the owners or occupiers of all
the houses found defective in the course of the House-to-House
Inspection.
Houses Let Out in Lodgings.
Your Sanitary Inspector, whom you appointed permanently to
inspect these houses, has regularly carried out this duty, and has
reported to me all sanitary defects coming under his notice.
