TO THE BOARD OF WORKS FOR THE ST. GILES
DISTRICT.
Gentlemen,
I have the honour to present you the thirty-eighth
Annual Report upon the sanitary conditions of the District,
for the year ending 31st December, 1893. It has been
drawn up on the lines of previous Reports, and contains the
usual tables and statistics.
The area, houses, and population of the St. Giles District, and its Registration Sub-districts were, according to the corrected Census Returns, 1891 (53 and 54 Vict., c. 6L) :—

The decrease in number of inhabited houses between
1881 and 1891, was 22.9.
