the Local Authorities will be made. The appointment of a
physician to the office of Chief Inspector of Factories cannot
fail to have considerable influence on future legislation.
I venture to hope that in my next Annual Report 1 shall be
able to record the commencement of the erection of a disinfecting
station, to be under the immediate control of the Department.
In conclusion, I desire to thank the Committee and Vestry
for their cordial co-operation in the carrying out of the duties
of my office, and to express my satisfaction with the manner
in which the Officers of the Department have discharged their
respective duties.
