reason of the epidemic of scarlet fever in 1893, the
average number of cases of scarlet fever in Paddington
appears to be 416, the same as the total
recorded last year, which, as already stated, was
an exceptional one. In London the average for
this disease was 21,833, and last year's total
19,769. It will, therefore, be better simply to call
attention to the Table, without entering into a
discussion thereon.
