equal to 7.58 per cent. of all the deaths therein, and
to a rate of 6.35 per 1,000 of the local population.
The death-rates among males and females were
practically equal, both for the whole Parish and
the two sub-districts
In London the deaths in this group numbered
34,626, and were equal to 44.9 per cent, of all
deaths, and a rate of 7.96 per 1,000 of the estimated
population.
Bronchitis.—There were 198 deaths at all ages
from this cause (including those from bronchopneumonia)
in the whole Parish, equal to a
death-rate of 1.62 per 1,000. The deaths of
males numbered 81, and the mortality 1-61 per
1,000, the number of females being 117, and the
mortality 164. In London the deaths from this
cause numbered 7,816, equal to a rate of l.79.
In the District of St. Mary, the deaths from
Bronchitis numbered 161 (equal to 1.81 per 1,000),
of which number 69 were males, and 92 females.
The mortalities for the two sexes were 1.78 and l-82
respectively. In the St. John's District there were
37 deaths, viz., 12 males, and 25 females, and the
mortalities were 1.13 for both sexes, T03 for males,
and 1.19 for females.
In the following Table are given the number of
deaths in each age-group of each sex in the two
sub-districts, and in each age-group (both sexes) in
the Parish.
