females; and the corresponding rates for the District
of St. John were 14.9 and 9.1 At ages over five
years, the rates for males were 6.2 and 4.8 in the St.
Mary's and St. John's Districts, and those for females
6.7 and 3.6. At all ages of life the rates for males
were 8.6 in St. Mary's, and 5.6 in St. John's; and
aud those for females, in the same order, 8.2 and 3.9.
Practically similar differences existed in each agegroup,
and for each disease.
In one of the earlier paragraphs of this Report
(see page 13), the question of the connection existing
between over crowding and disease was referred to.
In continuation of those remarks, the appended
statement showing the relative figures for overcrowding,
disease, etc., has been compiled.
