Small Pox.—The deaths from Small Pox were 4 during the
year, the total number of cases notified was 19.
As was the case last year, I am glad to say that in no single
instance did the disease spread beyond the tenement in which the
case occurred.
All the cases were removed at once to the hospital and the
bedding destroyed.

Scarlet Fever.
The deaths from Scarlet Fever were 16, as against 19 last year.
The total number of cases notified was 414 this year, and 550
last year.
All the houses in which the cases occurred were examined, and
the sanitary defects found to exist were remedied.
