These sums have never been sufficient to
reimburse the Commissioners for the charges
incurred in connection with the business. For
theyear now under review the expenses may be
estimated at £2,532, comprised in the following
items, which however do not include the
cost of construction and maintenance of the
two condemned meat sheds :—
1. Salaries and pensions of Inspectorial
Staff (not including the Medical Officer
of Health or the Sanitary Clerk).
