By the use of a special disinfectant, introduced
by myself, we have been able to
manufacture at the City Laboratory, Golden
Lane, an enormous quantity of an efficient
disinfectant, fulfilling all the requirements of
an active germicide and deodorant, which is
now produced at a fractional cost, as compared
with the amounts formerly paid for patented
and proprietary articles.
The annual saving to the Commission by the
above process has been very great.
HOUSE TO HOUSE INSPECTION.
The progress made in the house to house
inspection throughout the City, as ordered by
the "Public Health (London) Act, 1891," will
be seen at a glance by reference to the map
shewn in Appendix.
