THE BIRTH RATE.
The number of births registered in Lambeth during the year
1893 reaches a total of 9222 cases, 4 less than the number
registered in 1892.
The number of male children exceeds by 18 that of female.
During the year in the entire Metropolitan area 132,975 births
are recorded : 67,685 males and 65,290 females.
