DEATH RATE.
Deaths from all causes registered in Lambeth during 1893, and
properly belonging thereto, number 5692. In this computation
parishioners dying in public Institutions of all characters, and
denominations situated outside the boundaries of Lambeth are
included. But non-parishioners dying in public Institutions
situated within the boundaries are excluded. Calculated for the
year the death rate of Lambeth is 20.3 per 1,000. The
Metropolitan Rate tor the same period being 21.3 per 1,000.
In the Metropolis the registered deaths numbered 91,536; of these 46,853 were males, and 44,683 were females. The death rate in the five great groups of districts is as follows :—
