*The death rates given above for the years 1885-93, were calculated on the
number of deaths which occurred in the District, excluding those taking place
in the S.E. Hospital and outlying Public Institutions. The death rates for 1894,
1895 and 1896 include all deaths of parishioners occurring in the S.E. Hospital
and at outlying Public Institutions.
