REPORT
OF THE
MEDICAL OFFICER OF HEALTH
FOR
GREENWICH.
To the Greenwich District Board of Works.
Gentlemen,
I have the honour to present to you my Thirteenth Annual
Report, for the 52 weeks ending December 28th, 1895.
I have to report that 1,787 Births (897 Males and 890
Females) were registered in the Greenwich District, details of
which appear in the tabulated form No. 1.
The number of Deaths was 1,497 (806 Males and 691
Females) equivalent to an annual rate of 23·9 per 1,000 persons
living (including the Greenwich Union and Infirmary, the
Seamen's, Miller and Cottage Hospitals, the Royal Naval College,
and Greenwich Hospital Schools, and the outlying Public
Institutions), and 12·6 excluding these Public Institutions, details
of which appear in the tabulated form No. 2.
