The mean rates for the 12 years, 1886 to 1897, being Fulham,

MORTALITY AT DIFFERENT AGES.
INFANTILE MORTALITY.
Of the 2,148 deaths registered 722 or 33.6 per cent, were those
of infants under the age of one year and the rate of infant mortality
measured by the proportion of deaths under one year to births
registered was equal to 167 per 1,000 as compared with an average
