Summonses were also granted against William John Waite, 25, St.
Thomas' Road, for selling milk deprived of 32 per cent., and milk deprived
of 34 per cent, of its natural fat, and against Mary Lewis, 64, Greyhound
Road, for selling milk adulterated with 5 per cent, of added water, but the
defendants absconded, and the summonses could not be served.
The fines and costs imposed amounted to £30 12s. 6d., and in a case
that was dismissed the Vestry had to pay jQI is. costs.
