The fines and costs in the successful cases amounted to £96 10s., and
the Vestry had to pay £5 5s. costs in the unsuccessful case.

From the above Table it will be seen that the proportion of adulterated
samples was only 7.6 per cent, of those examined, which is the lowest
percentage of adulteration recorded in Fulham.
One sample was obtained for every 737 of the population, as compared
with one for every 414 persons in London in 1895.
