Special Causes of Death.—The deaths of parishioners from the seven
principal zymotic diseases, after correction for those of our parishioners
who died in hospitals outside our district, are equal to a ratio of 1.1 per
1,000 living inhabitants, and less than that for the preceding year,
which was equivalent to l-8.
The following table shows the diminution or excess of deaths in 1897 from the seven principal zymotic diseases :—
