BIRTHS AND BIRTH RATE.
The births registered during the year were 4,771, this is equal to a
rate of 373, and is about 0.4 per thousand lower than the birth rate
of the preceding year, it is as usual nearly seven per thousand in
excess of the general Metropolitan rate which was 30 5.
In the registration sub-districts of Bethnal Green the birth rate was as under;—
