The death rates given above for the years 1888-93, were calculated on the
number of deaths which occurred in the District, excluding those taking place
in the S.E. Hospital and Outlying Public Institutions. The death rates from
1894 include all deaths of parishioners occurring in the S.E. Hospital and at
outlying Public Institutions.
