Author is described on t.p. as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons; he became a Fellow on December 10 1846.--Printer was active at this address 1826-1860 (see Brown, P.: London publishers and printers, p. 119). Thus the date of publication is apparently between 1847-1860
T.p. is a cancel. An earlier ed. with the same pagination was published in London by Harvey & Darton, 1840; this may be a re-issue of the sheets from that ed. Their address was also Gracechurch Street and they published under that name until 1847.--see Brown, p. 85.
