About this work

Description

There are three short films on this recording, all made by Dr. R. H. Bolton from Peckham Pioneer Health Centre. The first is of a group of young friends going on a climbing holiday. The second is called 'Saturday' and has the names A. S. Amsden and J. C. Read on the credits alongside Bolton. It shows an alarm clock at 5.30am, a man lighting a cigarette, then procedes to show how busy city life can be with various people at work from street sellers to boatsmen to builders. It ends when the man puts out his cigarette, yawns and returns to bed. The third film is probably called 'Springtime' and shows footage of a seaside holiday.
