Heading on first page is: 'Analysis of "House & Sundries 30B". "Patients' Ledger 18b E - 19F". "Cash Book 22 B -D".' (The first of these is missing from series in Ret 3/4/1; the other two are now RET 3/2/2/2, RET 3/2/6/8) As in latter part of previous volume, information is grouped under headings: eg House Expenses; Farm and Garden; Extra Expenses; Wages; Furniture; etc. Under 'House Expenses', the total is given and cross refers to analysis in Household Cash Book, RET 3/4/2/2 Regular entries are monthly, and other items which summarise and analyse information in supporting books, are entered at end of year. Some items, not already detailed in other supporting books are noted in detail here, eg furniture, stationery, extra expenses, wine etc, rates and taxes, farm and garden Also included in the volume are lists of named annuitants, names of those receiving wages, lists of donations and names, lists of accounts due from patients and lists of patients' board, with names. Details and valuation of stock on hand in House and garden at end of year are given. Also provided are end of year analyses of wages, and an end of year 'Family Analysis' which notes for each month the number of patients, and also gives current total of staff positions: eg number of officers, attendants, maids etc. A yearly analysis of House Expenses is given once in 1854-5. Other information includes payments for the new building ('New B') in 1853-4 and 1854-5 Entries are not keyed to the General Ledger folio numbers Volume is marked 'Journal '34B' on spine
