About this work

Description

Most of these items are detailed letters sent by William Williamson to the Retreat Committee about rain water tanks, water supply, wells, and boilers for the laundry and kitchen. There are also notes on water temperatures in laundry boiler, an analysis of the composition of water at the Retreat, and a printed table of the scale of charges of the York New Waterworks Company 1850.
