Description

This pair of photographs was taken on same occasion, in 1902. One photograph shows the Retreat men’s hockey team and one photograph shows the Retreat women’s hockey team. In both pictures, the team is pictured in front of sports pavilion. Some of the team players are named: on the men’s team are Dr Mackenzie (back, centre), Messrs Hunt, Watson, Kitchen, Dr Pierce (front left, with dog), Messrs Thornton, Simpson, Hayes and ?Duff; on the women’s team are Dr Kemp (centre, back), Nurse Clark, Nurse Rowntree, Sister Annie.
