Description

The Retreat periodically had its entire contents professionally inventoried and valued to ensure it had correct and up to date information. Other catalogues or inventories of particular items were also made from time to time for a variety of reasons. For example, annual valuations of stock in the household and on the farm were also taken for accounting purposes (for these see RET 3/4/5). In this section below are also catalogues of books, medical and otherwise, at the Retrea, and also lists of archives.t
