Letter by her to Dr Kitching; envelope of writings about herself and her treatment and conditions at The Retreat; legal Petition in the matter of Ann Brennand 1856 Patient no. 862, in Retreat 1852 - 1862 (died, suicide). Age 28 on admission, non-Quaker, single, cotton spinner's daughter, from Burnley. Depression with suicidal propensity. 1856 - 1860 and c. 1850s.
