About this work

Description

The committee was appointed in March 1861. The Retreat at that time had a large debt after the building of the women's wing, but an annual surplus of income over expenditure for the last three years. The committee's short report, of which this is a copy, examines how this has been achieved and recommends steps to maintain a good position
