About this work

Description

Now woefully out of date and made in the mid-1990s, this short film about the resources in the the Wellcome Library shows the Reading Room, Poynter Room (Rare Materials Reading Room) as well as shots of staff at work such as the conservators. Of historical interest, it shows the Library before the previous refurbishment in 2007 and subsequent one in 2014/15 and will interest former and present staff in particular - there are many familiar faces. Better quality archival material of Sir Henry Wellcome at Jebel Moya has been digitised and is available online.
