One of two identified printings published by Solomon W. Conrad in 1818. In this printing the title page has "A description" printed in solid Roman type, and "in the temple" printed on a single line. The sixth line of the introduction on p. [3] ends "to arrive at"; the description of the lunatic boy appears on p. 14, and that of the two persons carrying the sick man on p. 15; and the second paragraph of the critical remarks on p. 16 begins "The grand conceptions and design of the artist are here perspicuously given ..."
