The article "Anatomy" from the American edition of the Encyclopaedia Britannica, published in parts 1790-98 with title: Encyclopaedia; or, A dictionary of arts, sciences, and miscellaneous literature. Based on the 3d ed., Edinburgh, 1797 (i. e. 1788-1797) which states on p. xv of preface: "For whatever instruction may be conveyed in the articles Anatomy and Surgery the public is indebted to Andrew Bell, F. S. S. A., one of the proprietors, and ... Mr. Fyfe ..."
