Notes

The following description was provided by James Gardiner: "Fred Spencer out of costume. The British music hall comedian Fred Spencer (fl. 1880-after 1949), a much-loved pantomime dame for three generations. His roles, as Widow Twanky, Jack's Mother in Jack and the Beanstalk, the Wicked Stepmother in Cinderella, were all pretty much interchangeable, and designed to aid as much as possible the physical comedy of these performances."
This work is untitled: the title has been supplied by the cataloguer.
