Letters from Colonel Harvey Pasha, Police Commandant, Cairo, to Galton. Dating from July 1900 to 1902 they discuss fingerprinting, identification and anthropometry.

Encloses: Synopsis of the System of Anthropometry as Carried out in France and London with Modifications Necessary to Make it Applicable to Egypt by Col. Harvey Pasha, 1896; handwritten "Report on the Anthropometric Service for the year ending 31st December 1899" in English and reports for 1897 and 1898 in French; Galton's certificate of identity from the Cairo police, including his photograph, measurements and fingerprints.
