Description

Manuscript and typescript letters. Charles Davenport was secretary of the American Breeders' Association - Eugenics section, also a lecturer. Letter dated 16 May 1897 concerning correlated variation and comparative variability of the sexes based on the forepaws of 4000 pigs; mentions that Galton wanted to introduce experimental psychology into University College. Letter dated 14 October 1902 concerning the founding of a station for the experimental study of evolution which materialised in 1905. Letter dated 26 October 1910 stated that a record office in eugenics had been established.
