Description

Draft of a letter dated 10 July 1899 from Galton to Sir Kenelm Edward Digby of the Home Office, proposing a review of the work of the Identification Office as he was concerned about the progress and facilities of the expanding department. Letter dated 12 July 1899 from Sir Kenelm to Galton reassuring him that progress in identification by fingerprints was being made but an independent inquiry was not possible at that time.
