Notes

This work is untitled: the title has been supplied by the cataloguer.
The following description was provided by James Gardiner: "Emasculation as a possible side-effect of female emancipation was not a solely British concern. This Italian comic postcard of the 1920s shows a stereotypically fashionable feminised male, with several 'gay' signifiers: a toy dog, wide flapping skirt-like trousers, Cuban heeled shoes, and a pinkie-finger held aloft".
