This work is untitled: the title has been supplied by the cataloguer.
The following description was provided by James Gardiner: "Lord Kitchener (1850-1916), the British military hero assumed by many historians to have been homosexual." He was lost at sea off the Orkneys in June 1916: "his body was never found. His death shocked the public and was followed by enormous public mourning." (Oxford dictionary of national biography).
