Description

The following description was provided by James Gardiner: "The broadcaster Gilbert Harding (1920-1988). Harding's gruff and prickly exterior hid a complex and sensitive interior. A closeted life-long homosexual, at one point 'rumoured' to be in a relationship with the notoriously butch lesbian author and broadcaster Nancy Spain. Nobody was fooled".
