Notes

The following description was provided by James Gardiner: "Very attractive amateur drag at Stratford-on-Avon in 1911. This man makes a convincing woman, and although the costume is rather badly made and improvised, the huge hat with ‘bees-nest’ veiling and the ‘Harem Pants’ copied from the Ballets Russes which had since their first season in Paris in 1909 caused a sensation and proved a profound influence on women’s fashions."
This work is untitled: the title has been supplied by the cataloguer.
