Description
Correspondence between William J Mellman, University of Pennsylvania, and Penrose, consisting of 5 letters, regarding dermatoglyphic analysis of three families with familial translocations, containing reports, a pedigree, finger, palm and foot prints, drawings of main lines on dermal ridges and photographs of the palmar main lines. Also includes a copy of a letter from Mellman to B W Richards, editor of the Journal of Mental Deficiency Research, enclosing a typescript of "A Family with a Fusion Translocation" by C Wenar, B A Ruttenberg, W J Mellman and Margaret S Cooke, for which Penrose studied the dermatoglyphs.
