Letters between H A Cresswell, Industrial Cine Photographer, and Penrose regarding the making of the film "Automatic Mechanical Self-Replication", requests to purchase copies of the film, royalty payments from copies sold, requests to loan copies of the film, and an invoice from Cresswell for shooting the second part of the film in 1962. Also contains typescripts of "On the Construction of a Machine for Demonstrating Self-Reproduction and Natural Selection" by Penrose, and six copies of an "Additional Note" for Penrose's paper on Automatic Mechanical Self-reproduction.

H A Cresswell was contracted by Penrose to shoot and provide commentary for both parts of his film "Automatic Mechanical Self-Replication".
