Includes correspondence between Renwick and Professor John Hilton Edwards of the Institute of Child Health at the University of Birmingham, concerning their research methods and various disagreements and criticisms about these. Renwick writes "Dear John, in Lancet 1985, ii, 40, you showed that I was nearly 200 years out of date". The discussions and disagreements follow on from there.
