Description

Includes grant application to the National Foundation (USA), related correspondence with the Director of Research and other staff at The National Foundation (USA) regarding research projects and submission of grant applications (1972), interim reports, drafts of applications for follow-up grant, and offprints of articles on the potato and spina bifida.

Renwick postulated that if high-risk mothers were to avoid potatoes during the first four weeks of gestation, these common types of birth defects could be prevented.
