Dises Ertzney Biechl geherdt der edlen unnd Tügendthafften frauen Elisabet Schitzin 1581. A medical receipt book, with a farm account-book, etc. by various hands dated 1599-1626; containing also notes on wine making, etc. With later additions down to 1668. A foliation in pencil has been added. Ff. 2-19 Frau Schitzin's medical receipts. 20-210 Farm account books, etc. by various hands, dated 1599 (fol. 20) to 1668 (126v). 210v-221v Ein schön Weinbuch. By the earliest compiler. Fol. 225 Receipts for almond cakes, etc. By a later hand. There are a number of blank leaves [ff. 159-199] in the middle of the volume, and it has been largely scribbled over.

1 volume 230 ll. 4to. 211/2 x 171/2 cm. Original stamped calf binding damaged. Some leaves have been torn out, and only a piece of the last leaf but one remains. Many margins and corners frayed: some damp stains. The first leaf is pasted down on the upper cover.

The papers are available subject to the usual conditions of access to Archives and Manuscripts material, after the completion of a Reader's Undertaking.
