About this work

Description

Régistre d'ordonnances d'hôpital [de Beaune]. This MS. is the original Register: the prescriptions are holograph, and many of them are signed by the physicians who ordered them. There are four of these, of whom Pitois is responsible for 248 receipts, Parigot and Hugues de Salins [1632-1710], each for 140, and Bachey for 113. The hospital can almost certainly be identified as the Hôtel-Dieu de Beaune, and the 'Chambre St. Hugues' and the 'Chambre St. Louis' are frequently mentioned. Produced in Beaune.
