Description
Collection of cookery receipts, with a few medical receipts.
By several hands.
Followed by calligraphic examples in Arithmetic: in English. The 60 ll. at the end contain examples in arithmetic; written within red rules and embellished with pen-drawn decorations. These may possibly have been written in 1680, which is the date given in one of the examples.
On the first leaf 'H. Stopes. Oct. 6, 1890.' (i.e. Henry Stopes [1852-1902], father of Marie Stopes).

1 volume 1 l. + 101 pp. + 25 ll. + 60 ll. 4to. 23 x 18 cm. Original calf binding worn. Most of the entries are by a very illiterate hand.
