Description

Henry Twitchin was a Wealthy Australian sheepfarmer interested in eugenics who donated £1000 a year to the Eugenics Society and died in 1930 leaving his estate apart from a few personal legacies to the Society, which made a great and beneficial difference to the Society's finances. It amounted to £57,000, and after the purchase of 69 Eccleston Square, the remainder was invested.
