Description

Artzni Buchlin. Written in Swiss-German with some later additions. Included are notes of cases, and biographical notes of the Author and his family. On fol. 33 there is a heading 'In gottes namen amen. / hie heptt an disz artzni buchlin an was ich mit der Hilf gottes geheilt hau anno H. 1559-R.R'. On fol. 20 there is a title page 'Disers hab ich mit der Hilif gottes und maria Siner lieben Mutter geheilt anno 1559 H.R. Ros'. Some entries towards the end are in red ink. The entries of cases, etc. extend from 1559 to 1566. The biographical notes (ff. 17v-19) are from 1562 to 1582. On the first leaf is the name of Mathis Ros, and on fol. 9v a note by a later hand recording the death of Catherina Schmidlin grandmother of the writer of the note, and apparently the second wife of the compiler of this MS.

Physical description

1 volume 90 ll. (last 6 bl.). 4to. 211/2 x 161/2 cm. Original limp vellum covers, with ties. Many leaves have been cut out and some leaves are mutilated. The quires seem to have been put together in wrong order.
