About this work

Description

Collection of veterinary receipts, etc.: in German. The section from the beginning to fol. 104 contains 75 full-page water colour drawings of bits, bridles, etc., a stable, illustrations of horse training, one of which (fol. 27) is folding: these are mostly signed 'F' and include a picture showing the administration of a medicine by means of a funnel (fol. 31), and another of blood-letting (fol. 29). The original compiler's work ends at fol. 281, and contains 1160 numbered receipts: it is followed by additions by several hands, inserted receipts, etc. On fol. 3 and on the fly-leaf at the beginning the name 'Von Kupperwolff' has been stamped.
