Description

Manuscript notebook of recipes for animal cures, including numerous items pasted in and one loose sheet (f.1a, in two parts) recording a recipe for foot-rot.

Dating is uncertain, although the item dates from the 19th century: the paper is watermarked 1836 and items posted in bear postmarks 1843 and 1880.

Compiled (according to the ownership inscription) by a W.R. Brumet; presumably the Mr. Brumitt of Cocksford, Tadcaster, whose name appears as the address on several of the pasted-in items.
